Privacy policy
Your attention is yours. So is your data.
Effective 7 October 2026
The short version
- Your per-app usage (which apps, for how long) stays on your phone. It never reaches our servers.
- ATTI never reads your screen, messages, typing, photos, contacts or location.
- No ads. We never sell your data.
- If you use ATTI through your employer, they see only how many codes were redeemed. Never your usage.
- You can download or delete your data at any time.
Who we are
ATTI is a phone app for Android and iPhone that helps you spend less time in distracting apps. It is run by its founder from Pune, Maharashtra, India, and will be operated by a private limited company once that company is registered. We'll update this policy with the company's name and address when it is.
"We" and "us" mean ATTI. This policy covers attiapp.com and the ATTI app. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the DPDP Act), we are the data fiduciary for the personal data described here.
What we collect on this website
- Waitlist: your email, which phone you use, your WhatsApp number if you add one, how you found us (for example a friend's code), and the page you signed up on.
- Company pilot requests: your name, work email, company, role, the pilot team size and any message you write.
- Deletion requests: the email or phone number on your account and any note you add.
- Technical data: our website host keeps standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, to keep the site secure. We may use cookie-free visitor statistics that count page visits without identifying you.
The website sets no advertising or tracking cookies. It saves one small note in your browser to remember that you've joined the waitlist, which you can clear at any time.
What the app processes
ATTI is designed so the sensitive part, your app usage, never leaves your phone. Only what we need to run your account is stored on our servers, and it syncs once a day.
| Data | Where it stays | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Per-app minutes, pickups and usage history | Your phone only | To pause you at the right moment and show your numbers |
| Time-cost figures, reel and session counts | Your phone only | To show what a habit adds up to |
| Your answers to "what did you want to do?" | Your phone only | To suggest better alternatives |
| Name, and your email or phone number | Our servers | To run your account |
| Streak, level, best streak and difficulty setting | Our servers | So your progress survives a new phone or reinstall |
| One record per day: held, broken or unverified (no app names) | Our servers | To keep your streak accurate |
| Purchase status or company seat | Our servers | To unlock the app |
| Referral codes and who referred whom | Our servers | To pay referral rewards |
How ATTI reads usage
- Android: through the Usage Access permission, which you switch on yourself in your phone's settings. ATTI does not use the Accessibility Service, notification access, a VPN or your location.
- iPhone: through Apple's Screen Time framework (Family Controls). Apple keeps your usage details inside its own system. ATTI can pause the apps you choose but cannot read your usage history or send it anywhere.
What ATTI never collects
Your screen contents, messages, keystrokes, browsing history, photos, contacts, microphone, camera or location.
Payments
Purchases are handled by Google Play or Apple's App Store. We receive confirmation that you've paid, never your card or bank details.
How we use your data
- To provide the app: your account, your streak across devices, purchases and company access.
- To pay referral rewards, and keep the records tax law requires.
- To tell waitlist members about launch and early access.
- To reply to companies, support emails and deletion requests.
- To keep ATTI secure and to meet our legal obligations.
We process your data with your consent, which you give when you join the waitlist, send a form or sign up in the app, and for the other lawful uses the DPDP Act allows, such as meeting legal obligations. You can withdraw consent at any time. Some features need certain data to work; if you switch off usage access, ATTI keeps running with fewer features.
If you use ATTI through your employer
Your company buys seats and gives you a code. Your company can see how many codes have been redeemed. It cannot see your screen time, your apps, your streak or any data tied to you by name. We don't use your data to evaluate your work, and we don't give your employer access to your account.
Who we share data with
We don't sell personal data and we don't show ads. We share data only with service providers who help us run ATTI, under contracts that limit how they can use it:
- Google Play and Apple, for purchases.
- Our cloud hosting and database provider, for app accounts.
- Google Workspace (Sheets and Gmail), for the waitlist and website forms.
- Netlify, which hosts this website.
- A payments provider, for referral payouts in India.
We may also disclose data when the law requires it, for example to a court or government authority with a valid legal request. Some of these providers store data on servers outside India. Where that happens, we use providers with strong security commitments and follow any restrictions the Government of India sets on transfers.
How long we keep data
- Waitlist: until 12 months after launch, or sooner if you ask us to remove you.
- Pilot requests and support emails: up to 24 months after our last conversation.
- App account data: while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove it from our servers within 30 days.
- Purchase, invoice and referral payout records: as long as Indian tax and company law requires, up to 8 years.
Data stored on your phone is removed when you uninstall ATTI.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you can:
- Get a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
- Correct or update your data.
- Ask us to delete your data.
- Withdraw your consent.
- Nominate someone to exercise your rights if you die or are unable to.
- Have your complaints handled by us, and then by the Data Protection Board of India if you're not satisfied.
In the app, Settings → Export my data gives you a copy, and Settings → Delete my account deletes it. You can also use our deletion form or email us. We aim to respond within 30 days.
Adults only
ATTI is for people aged 18 and over. The app asks your age when you first open it and does not continue for anyone under 18. If we learn that we hold data about someone under 18, we delete it.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, and access to our systems is limited to the people who need it. If a personal data breach happens, we will inform the Data Protection Board of India and affected users as the law requires.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your data in a significant way, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
Contact and grievances
For any privacy question, request or complaint, write to our Grievance Officer, the founder of ATTI, at attiapp.com@gmail.com. ATTI, Pune, Maharashtra, India.
